One of the best shooters of its day. For fans of classic side scrolling action everywhere. Also, don’t forget to use the special “Konami Code” which will give you 30 lives if you find the game too difficult.
An absolute classic, scrolling shooters don’t come much better than this! Even now, 20 years after it’s release, it still provides that same fast and frantic, adrenaline fuelled trip thru the futuristic world that Contra fans old and new have come to kno and love! Worth getting for many reasons, whether ur a fan of the series, retro collector, or just after a quick blazing blaster to feed that trigger finger! As original and ambitious as the franchise has always been, do not call urself a fan unless u own this!

The most realistic game with guns, aliens and hordes of monsters i’ve ever seen on SNES.
Funny, specialy with 2 Players.
+ a level, where the player/s ride on damn rockets. Hardcore!!
A classic among snes games. This game is very fun indeed especially with another player(although hogging items can get troublesome) this game is definately worth playing!

If you are easily turned off by difficult games then I recommend the Japanese version of this game, its much easier for casuals, only problem is that you cannot read anything (unless you get a translator)
-now for the review
This is one of my favorite contra games, I used to play this with my brother. The game has multiple endings so you can get bad ones and good ones depending on the choices you make. This is a must have for contra fans or if you just like shooting or challenges then get this game.

An original and refreshing take on the Contro universe/formula, that you’ll either love or hate. At first, i admit, i wasn’t so keen, as eing set in a modern day setting, with different players and weapons to choose from, it all seemed too much change at once. And indeed, the game might turn fans of the series away for that very reason. But it’s this ambitious and unique approach that really brings the game to life, and if you stick with it and look past the bloody annoying and constant slow down, you’ll discover an underappriciated classic in its own right, a damn fine shooter, and certainly a rare gem in the Contra family tree!
